2014

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]2014 was the biggest year yet for us. It started out on the road in SE Asia and ended with us getting engaged on New Year’s Eve at the Phish concert in Miami. A lot of stuff happened in between – we spent two entire months in Thailand, traveled from Hong Kong to our new home of Kunming over land, and explored Yunnan province. After a 14-month long trip, it was time to settle down for a bit – at least as close to settling down as us Gypsies like to get! Most of the second half of the year was spent living and working in Kunming, but of course we got out to take a few side trips as well. We’ve had a lot of good years, but 2014 is going to be hard to beat.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator color=”vista_blue” border_width=”3″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][ultimate_heading]

It was a trip full of adventure, culture, and naturally, plenty of raging.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”4697″ img_size=”600×429″ onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://www.gratefulgypsies.com/timeline/2014-2/second-half/”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]Needing a break from Asia, we headed back to the States for a northern Michigan vacation, baseball games, Phish shows, and our first American music festival in three years. Then it was back in China for a few more weeks of travel before settling into our new home of Kunming. The year wound down back at home for Christmas and in Miami for a Phishy engagement.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator color=”vista_blue” border_width=”3″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

After such a huge year, you’d think we would be ready for some downtime. You would, of course, be wrong. While we were quite busy with work in Kunming, we still managed to get out and do quite a bit in 2015. a great Chinese New Year trip around beautiful Yunnan province. Oh yeah, we also got married and moved to Bali!
