Summer Camp Artists Ring in 2020

Can you believe the year (and the decade) is almost over?! It’s an exciting time as we gear up for the 20th anniversary of Summer Camp Music Festival in 2020. While we’re still waiting to see what amazing lineup the festival has in store for this momentous occasion, we’ve all got the chance to ring in the New Year with our favorite SCamp artists.

Whether you live on the West Coast, down south, in the Midwest, in heady Colorado, or over on the East Coast, chances are there’s a SCamp NYE show for you! In this post I’ll run down the list of Summer Camp artists and their New Year’s shows, so put on your silly hat and get ready to pop bottles!

moe.

Perennial SCamp headliners moe. will ring in 2020 in their home state of New York. The iconic jamband has a 2-night run scheduled at the Stanley Theater in Utica. This is sure to be a NYE throe.down you won’t want to miss!

These shows are just about sold out, so hustle and grab your tickets now so you’re not stuck at home watching the ball drop.

Umphrey’s McGee

The Umph boys always bring their A-game for NYE and 2019 will be no different. This year they’re heading back to Denver for a 4-night run at the Fillmore. The sextet will be playing on the 27th and 28th, taking a night off (because they’re all old like Joel now), and then coming back for two more nights.

If you want to keep the party rolling, just go see Doom Flamingo on the 29th! Snag your 4-day UM passes here and get ready to Rage. Rest. Repeat.

Pigeons Playing Ping Pong

This is where we’ll be ringing in 2020! PPPP are playing their first ever arena show to close out what’s been a huge year for the band. Taking place in beautiful Asheville, North Carolina, the band has chosen an interesting theme for their NYE show. It’s called “Can You Pass the Asheville Test?” and I’m thinking we’re going to get a heavy dose (pun intended) of 60s psychedelia.

The show on the 30th is at the much smaller Orange Peel and is already sold out, but you can still grab a ticket for the big show here. Oh yeah, and TAUK will be opening, so you get two SCamp bands in one show!

We’re hoping to arrange a meet-up for members of the Flock in one of our favorite Asheville bars, so stay tuned for details.

Spafford

Fresh off a monster fall tour, Spafford is killing it as per usual. The quartet is changing it up this year and moving their NYE party over to sunny California. The run starts with two nights in Los Angeles on the 27th and 28th, and then moves up to the Bay Area for the 30th and 31st.

Fun fact – New Year’s Eve will mark the 10th anniversary of the band, so it’s sure to be a good one! Click here to get your ticket to celebrate with Spafford.

Greensky Bluegrass

Your favorite jamgrass heroes are once again ringing in the New Year in the Midwest. Greensky Bluegrass heads to the Riverside Theater in Milwaukee for a 3-night run to end 2019 in style.

Horseshoes & Hand Grenades will kick things off the first two nights, and GSBG will play three sets to close the year. Grab your NYE ticket here and get ready for an epic night.

STS9

Sound Tribe Sector 9 is ending the decade by going back to their roots. Although they may call California home these days, the band started out in Atlanta twenty years ago. They’re playing a 4-night run at the legendary Tabernacle in ATL (27, 28, 29, 31), a venue that’s hosted some insane Tribe shows over the years.

On the 30th, the band is presenting “Rave Spell” – an intimate dance party that’s sure to be a barnburner. That one is sold out, but you can still pick up a NYE ticket here.

Aqeuous

Aqeuous has had a huge year in 2019, and they’re ending it in style with a 2-night run in Buffalo, New York. The Town Ballroom will host the band and their NYE throw down.

Wild Adriatic kicks things off on night one, and Witty Tarbox gets the party started on the 31st. Click here to get your 2-day pass so you’re not left out in the cold!

Lotus

If you’re looking to end 2019 with a huge dance party, then look no further than the 2-night Lotus run. They’re playing at Rams Head Live in Baltimore with very special guests. That’s right – Lespecial will be starting things off both nights to get you nice and warmed up for a Lotus rager.

The 2-day tickets are all gone, but you can still grab a NYE ticket here.

Yonder Mountain String Band

Once again, YMSB heads to their home state of Colorado to ring in another New Year. The jamgrass legends have big things in store for the end of 2019.

They kick off the run with two nights in Boulder (27-28), then head to Breckenridge on the 29th, and finish it all off with a NYE celebration in Aspen. Click here to snag a ticket for the 31st.

Lettuce

If it’s funk that you desire to bring 2019 to a close, then get your ass to San Francisco to see Lettuce. The funk powerhouse is rolling into 2020 with a huge party at the Independent.

This ain’t your average NYE show, as it’s 21+ and open bar is included with the price of admission. Pick up your ticket here and get ready to rage!

Mungion

Calling all Midwest Peeps! Mungion is hosting a hometown rager in the Windy City to end 2019 proper. The band is playing the 28th, 30th, and 31st at Martyrs’ once again.

It’ll be cold as hell outside but nice and warm by the Mungion fire. Grab your NYE tickets here and check out the recap from last year.

Cherub

Your favorite blunt blazing, whiskey drinking duo is ringing in another New Year from their hometown of Nashville. It’s gonna be a huge party in Music City with the Cherub boys yet again!

Friends Mike Floss & Gibbz will join them at Marathon Music Works for a wild NYE celebration you won’t want to miss. Grab your tickets here.

Sun Stereo

For all you SCamp locals, this is the show for you! Sun Stereo’s New Year’s Eve Bash returns to the Canopy Club in what is sure to be a damn good time. They’ll be joined by Trouble Chasin’, Sixth Street Brass, and Positive Vibr8ions.

Not only do you get all that music, but there’s also a pizza buffet, open bar, and champagne toast at midnight. Click here to snag your tickets.

Decadence

Don’t worry, EDM kids – I didn’t forget about you. The Vibe Tent may be gone (RIP), but there’s still plenty of untz out there for you to get down to this NYE. The Decadence New Year’s Eve show has SCamp favorites like GRiZ and Zeds Dead over two nights.

Pick up your tickets here and get ready to dance your way into 2020.

There you go, kids. You’ve got plenty of options for ending 2019 in style with your favorite SCamp artists. Where will you be ringing in 2020? Leave a comment and let us know!
