Exploring Vang Vieng

by Sasha Savinov

Surrounded by majestic karst mountain peaks, lagoons, and caves, the little town of Vang Vieng, Laos has undergone a massive transformation in recent years. Once known for its hedonistic, booze-and-drug-fueled “In the Tubing,” it’s now more of an eco-tourism destination. You can still tube down the Nam Song River with cold Beer Laos in hand, and thankfully it’s a much more chilled out scene these days. We loved exploring Vang Vieng and its beautiful surroundings, and you will too! Check out some highlights of kayaking, trekking, caving, and tubing in this short video.
